Marie-Rose was born in 1979 in Nantes, a town in western France. She grew up in a small town between the Atlantic Ocean and a vineyard.
Painting and drawing have been a large part of her life from a very early age. Marie-Rose started taking drawing classes from childhood and studied at the ESNAM (Graduate School of the Arts of the Puppet) and at the School of Fine Arts in France and in Italy (Milan). After that, she worked as a fashion stylist for seven years.
Today, Marie-Rose creates a poetic and colorful universe through illustration and has completed many collaborative works in toys, textiles, and publishing. She finds her inspiration from haute couture, the Impressionists, botanical art, and music. She enjoys experimenting with colors, transparencies, and pattern, alternating between traditional and digital drawing.
