Artist Biography

Born by chance in a small city in Northern Italy on July 11th, 1988, Marilisa later moved her first steps with the help of a pencil. She is a Fine Arts graduate at the University of Turin. After that, her passion took her to Rome, where she now lives and where she obtained a master degree in visual development at Idea Academy. The new degree allowed her to move her first steps in the world of illustration, making use of different techniques ranging from pencil—which she never abandons—to watercolors and digital painting.

She takes her inspiration from artists such as Egon Schiele and Klimt, and from great illustrators such as Carter Goodrich.

She loves having a good laugh, drawing beside her deaf cat Ophelia, and immersing herself in old myths and legends.
