Nadja is an illustrator living in Helsinki, Finland. Her family is an artistic one, with an illustrator spouse and a very musically minded son.
Nadja grew up near Helsinki and enjoyed her dance classes, art school and piano lessons. Her family spent summer holidays on camping trips travelling all over Europe. During those holidays and all her freetime Nadja read books, lots of them. After high school Nadja studied in Theatre Academy in Helsinki and graduated with MA in Dance. Soon after that she decided to follow another passion of hers and moved to a small town in North Wales to study children's book illustration.
She graduated from North Wales School of Art and Design with BA in Illustration for Children's Publishing in 2004. Since then she has worked as an illustrator, and also a dance and art teacher. Nadja has worked with Finnish publishing houses, held solo exhibitions and taught workshops and illustration classes.
If Nadja was an animal, she would be a cat living in an old mansion with a large fireplace and a comfy sofa. Her favorite things are music, dancing, black coffee and chocolate.
