Renée Park is an illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York and a graduate of Parsons School of Design. She was born and raised in Seoul, Korea and moved to Ann Arbor, MI when she was 14 years old.
Her work is mainly influenced by mundane moments such as warmth of sunlight, breeze after a rainstorm, sparkling green of spring leaves, and etc… Her favorite artists are Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Ernest Bieler, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. She is a huge fan of poetry and especially loves “A Season in Hell” by Arthur Rimbaud. When she was a little kid she used to practice art with her mother who used to work as an elementary school art teacher. Ironically, art was her least favorite subject until she reached her late teenage years.
She is the illustrator behind a children's book "Hail the Kale", cover art of "Adventure Time Comics #5", and a colouring book "Daydream Carousel". She loves traveling, antiquity, great quality tea, and her two lovely cats.
