Sara Luna hails from San Francisco. Raised in a creative family, she grew up immersed in art and stories. When she wasn’t drawing mythical creatures, she was perched in a tree reading a book. Her passion for art and storytelling led her to ArtCenter College of Design, where she earned her BFA with honors in Illustration/Entertainment Arts in 2018. Sara’s work is inspired by fantasy, nature, and historical references. She mainly paints digitally, but prefers to do initial sketches on paper. Her favorite part? Lighting a scene and capturing the mood and atmosphere! In her plant-filled Los Angeles studio, Sara works best while listening to film scores with a cup of tea in hand. Her cat Fable keeps the desk tidy by swatting objects to the floor. When not painting, Sara enjoys going on walks, playing board games, and sketching at cafes with friends.
