Artist Biography

Brianna Gooch is an illustrator hailing from Richmond, Virginia.
In 2017, Brianna earned her BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
She currently lives on a ranch in the high desert plains at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Santa Fe, New Mexico with her girlfriend, two cats, and a horse.


Brianna Gooch is an illustrator hailing originally from Richmond, Virginia. She spent her childhood deep in horse country, participating in 4H and the Girl Scouts. She has always felt more at home drawing the plants and animals in a field or a barn than in a city.
In 2017 Brianna earned her BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. During her time at MICA, she frequently worked on independent studies in the American Southwest and has co-authored a number of published papers about landscape archeology.
She currently lives on a ranch in the high desert plains at the foot of the Rockies in Santa Fe, New Mexico with her girlfriend, two cats, and a horse. She has illustrated for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, National Geographic Kids, and Cottage Door Press, among many others. Her most recent project was illustrating Farm Friends, a book by John Deere about a day in the life of a tractor who helps a farmer and his dog accomplish various tasks needed to keep the farm running.
