From an early age, Forrest spent hours building worlds and characters with paper and pencil. His grandfather was an artist as well, and fostered Forrest's creative spirit. His love of art carried with him into young adulthood, prompting him to study Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan. Following school, Forrest moved to Brooklyn where the excitement of the city helps fuel his creativity. When it comes to his work, he loves playing with bright colors to create rich environments and characters. He likes to blend traditional and digital media, embracing the graphic quality of one with the texture of the other. He strives to create a whimsical expression in his work that speaks to children (and the child inside adults as well).
When he isn't working, you can expect to see Forrest hiking through the woods, embracing the natural world, in pursuit of some new piece of magic to spark his imagination.
