Margaux is a German-American illustrator from Maryland. She was raised bilingual in the German international school system, and now has friends spread out all over the world.
She grew up an avid reader and is still fascinated by literature and history. When she’s working she will often listen to a lecture series or a video essay in the background.
She received her MFA Illustration at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and a BA(Hons) in graphic design from Central Saint Martins in London. She loves the Bay Area and visits as much as she can.
Her focus is on editorial and children's book illustration. However, she is also passionate about design and the web and she likes to create small animations. Currently her favorite way to work is digital painting, but she also likes to mix digital and traditional media. When using traditional media she especially loves drawing and painting with colored ink.
Margaux wants to use her work to show the diverse and beautiful world around her and to help marginalized people to feel seen. Her goal is to keep honing her skills and always keep experimenting and growing.
Margaux lives in a green area of London with her lovely wife Ada.
