Alana Wilson is a Portuguese illustrator from San Diego, California. She graduated summa cum laude with a BA in graphic design and illustration. Alana has been working as a freelance illustrator for over five years, creating art for both animation and publishing. Notable projects include “Driftwood” (2022), and the children’s book “A Message Across Time” (2022). Alana’s work has also been published in two international art anthologies and shown in two galleries, one being her solo showcase, “Nightlight”. With a background in foster care, Alana has a special appreciation for diversity, inclusivity, and helping others. It is her belief that teaching marginalized children that they belong doesn’t just benefit individuals, but also the entire world. Through her illustrations, Alana aims to make representation commonplace, because everyone deserves to see a bit of themselves reflected in the stories they hold dear.
