Athena Handoko is an Indonesian character illustrator, animator and storyteller based in London, United Kingdom. Athena was born in Jakarta, where she grew up spending her days drawing, letting her imagination run wild and creating an endless array of characters and stories. Athena has a BA Hons in Animation. She is inspired by her favorite works of fiction and continuously strives to create media that carries the same sense of humor and heart. Her work is warm, joyous and often unabashedly girly. When she’s not drawing, Athena enjoys watching coming-of-age films, vintage shopping, reading comic books and listening to 90s/00s female-fronted bands.
