Ester Zirilli is an illustrator born and raised in Turin, Italy. She has been drawing ever since her mom first gave her colored markers. Her mom’s own artistic dreams helped fuel Ester’s passion for art and illustration. She went on to graduate in illustration from IED before moving to Milan in 2017. Ester sees illustration as a powerful tool of communication and likes to work with metaphors and concepts, creating images that encapsulate an idea. Her work is always saying something more than what is on the surface. When she is not drawing, Ester loves to work at the pottery wheel, spend money on plants, and study foreign languages. She is currently learning Japanese. If she wasn’t an illustrator, Ester would be working with animals.
