Lk Imany
LK Imany was born in Grenoble, France; she grew up by the Alps, and spent her summers in Morocco and winters in Switzerland. LK studied landscape architecture in Marseille and Amsterdam, but in late 2019, she switched careers to become a self-taught author and illustrator. LK discovered the magical possibilities of Procreate and forged her own style by experimenting with digital color and texture on her iPad. She takes inspiration from growing up between Europe and Africa in a multicultural family, but also from her other hobbies, including hiking, reading manga, watching K-Drama and playing all sorts of video games. Her goal is to include minorities in less diverse cultures using her storytelling and illustration skills. Now living in sunny Marseille with her husband and twins, she illustrates children's literature, NGO projects and book covers, while also writing her own illustrated books, graphic novels and young adult sci-fi and fantasy novels.
