Nikita Abuya
Nikita Abuya was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya. She is a self taught illustrator, and is currently working on her Bachelor’s in Business & Information Technology at Strathmore University. She has been creating art since she was a child, event winning an arts and crafts award from KIWI when she was seven years old. Growing up, she had many creative influences and inspiration. Her biggest influences are her mother, who is also an artist, and Kenya itself, as it is a very colorful and diverse country. Nikita works across a variety of mediums, including watercolor and digital illustration. Her work is filled with vibrant colors and cool patterns, infused with elements of nature. When she is not working, she enjoys watching movies. Currently, her favorite movie is “Uptown Girls”.
