Vanessa Port
Vanessa Port is a Cleveland based illustrator living with her two black cats, Hank and Celty. Vanessa has always known her passion was in illustration and design, so she started off by going to vocational school for commercial art. Afterwards she attended Kent State University for Visual Communication Design with a focus in illustration. She has worked with companies such as American Greetings, Progressive Insurance, Kotex, Amino Apps, Hot Chai Productions, and Owlcrate. Many of her illustrations are inspired by nature, animals, space, folklore, and fashion. Vanessa also participates in gallery shows through Light Grey Art Lab, Gallery at the Guild, and Cozy Up Collective. One of her most recent adventures includes an artist residency in Iceland through Light Grey Art Lab. Outside of illustration, Vanessa enjoys traveling, volunteering at her local animal shelter, going to March for Science to raise awareness for climate change, donating to World Wildlife Foundation, camping, and trying to spot UFOs
